Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's second pre-wedding bash recently took place on a cruise ship. It also led them to a bay in Italy for some more celebration. The star-studded affair saw many A-listers such as Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Salman Khan, Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Suhana Khan and many more. There have also been several clips of artists like Pitbull, Katy Perry, Backstreet Boys and Guru Randhawa going viral on social media.

As soon as it was revealed over the weekend that there is a second pre-wedding celebration taking place before their wedding in July, Twitter now known as X, users began sharing memes about the same. But when it was revealed that the second event would take place on a cruise, fans couldn't help but compare it to some of the old and recent movies with the same trope.
While some took to social media to compare the celebration to the Bollywood movie Dil Dhadak Ne Do, others were highly reminded of two foreign movies Titanic and the 2022 release Triangle of Sadness. A social media user on Instagram called Ria Chopra also said that the news of the celebration brought the latter film to her mind.

Triangle of Sadness by Swedish director Ruben Östlund takes a look at the 'Eat the rich' trope which has been very common in recent years. Films like Saltburn, White Lotus, Parasite, The Menu, Infinity Pool, The Fall of the House of Usher, the Knives Out and many more have been around in recent years. The film in question follows a celebrity couple taking their wealthy friends and family on a luxury cruise for a celebration, but they end up stranded on a desert island and fighting for survival alongside the staff of the cruise ship.
While no one hoped or expected the cruise to end up like that, some were reminded of Titanic and how it ended. All these films have one thing is common, the trip never ends well for the visitors or the family and the same was the case even with the Bollywood film Dil Dhadak Ne Do led by Anil Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and others. The later ended with more emotional damage among the characters, but it still follows the similar trope where people love watching the rich not have a good time.
The trope has become increasingly common, more so after the Oscar-winning film Parasite. That film did not take place on a cruise but it did talk about the heavy class difference between the rich and the one barely surviving. It became a conversation on social media as it was the last time with the pre-wedding in Jamnagar. But this time it seemed like the family had spent far more as more international celebrities visited and performed on the cruise and in Italy where the celebration ended after the trip.

Unlike all the films, everyone landed back safely and had the time of their lives and this video proves it too.
