- Astaroth – A tanky unit that absorbs tons of incoming damage.
- Cleaver – This is another tank character that you’d benefit greatly by adding to your team. However, unlocking him could be a bit of a task.
- Fafnir – A great hero who isn’t too strong individually but drastically improves your team through shields and attack boosts.
- Artemis – A ranged sniper attacker who works brilliantly with Tristain and Fafnir. Her high critical attack also matches well with heroes like Cornelius who grant magical defense.
- Judge – Judge protects your tank and the backline character while dealing magical damage to opponents and slowing them down. He’s very versatile and most teams can utilize him.
- Astrid & Lucas – Astrid and Lucas look adorable together but are actually rage-filled teammates. The major highlight of their kit is the ability to stun opponents and while in the rage form, Lucas deals a lot more damage with each attack.
- Isaac -Progress faction teams are incomplete without Isaac. As a support, it grants shields and physical attack buffs to teammates and all the Progress allies also get heals as well as Armor Penetration boosts. Isaac’s only downside is his limited effectiveness as non-Progress allies don’t get anything substantial from him.
- Ginger – Ginger is another brilliant unit that you’d want to use in a Progress team. Put her in the backline with a shield from Judge and you’ll be dealing unreal amounts of damage to the opponents.
- Orion – Orion is the quickest to get his Ultimate in Hero Wars, which alone makes him a very useful character. You constantly get a Magic Penetration boost and the overall magic damage of the team is increased drastically.
- Peppy – From shielding all allies to dealing magic damage to stunning, , opponents and buffing damage, Peppy serves many purposes in Hero Wars making it worthwhile to add her to your team.
Team formations play a major role in Hero Wars. For instance, Elmir and Dorian aren’t great as individual characters, but when paired with someone like Daredevil, the outcome is entirely different.
