Falstaff Wine Guide Germany 2024

The winery cultivates 40 different parcels on sunny terraces near the Rhine. "Versatility" is the word that best describes Carsten Lamberth's achievements. The different grape varieties are all successful, from dry Silvaner and Merlot in Réserve quality to the excellently balanced, fruity Spätlese wines. We found the way his red wines combine ripe tannins with precision in wooden barrel ageing to be particularly fine: delicately fruity and delicately mineral Cabernet Franc is recommended for special occasions.
