YELLOWSTONE star Wes Bentley - who Paramount viewers will know best as Jamie Dutton - has long been a fan-favourite on the show. However, there's one aspect of the character fans are now calling to be changed after spotting one of Bentley's previous roles.

Jamie Dutton (played by Wes Bentley) has been a mainstay in Yellowstone from the very beginning. A Montana-based attorney and adoptive son to ranch owner John (Kevin Costner) and his late wife Evelyn (Gretchen Moi), Jamie has been at the forefront of the some of the Paramount series’ biggest storylines - particularly with sister Beth (Kelly Reilly). However, could fans witness an all-new look to the character when season four rolls around?

Jamie’s life on Yellowstone has been plagued by some of the show’s hardest-hitting plot lines over its first three seasons.
His relationship with sister Beth has been plagued with trust issues and betrayal after it transpired he’d kept a potentially fateful secret from her.
When teens, Beth had turned to Jamie to help keep an abortion under wraps - which he did but let his sibling go through with the procedure knowing it posed serious health risks to her as it wouldn’t be sterilized.
Jamie’s also experienced heartbreak in his love life with former colleague Christina (Katherine Cunningham) but there’s one aspect of the character which has continued to irk viewers: his hair.

Jamie is rarely seen on Yellowstone without his slicked do, packed full of product.
But now fans are calling for this to change after rewatching one of Bentley’s previous roles.
Fans of American Horror Story will know all too well that Bentley had appeared in the FX series under a number of different aliases.
And he often looked worlds away from his role on Yellowstone - something fans are now calling is addressed in season four.

Taking to Reddit, Yellowstone fan Whohead12 shared a snap of Bentley in the FX horror, commenting: “So it turns out that Jamie *could* have perfectly normal hair if they’d stop styling it with Crisco and Gorilla Glue.”
And before long, dozens of fans replied in agreement as they vented their frustration at Jamie’s distracting appearance.
“This has been bugging the crap out of me,” said one fan. “His and Roarke's hair. They look terrible.”
A second agreed: “Wes Bentley has really nice hair in real life. Very thick and dark. For whatever reason, they style him horribly on this show and make him look most unattractive.”

While a third offered a suggestion as to why his hair’s like that: “Wes Bentley is a very handsome actor!
“He has had some very sexy roles. My thoughts on his hair in the role of Jamie...It's become more and more cemented on his head as they have written him more and more into the villain role.”
With a fourth even perusing over the idea Jamie’s hair can’t be real, theorizing: “He’s def wearing a wig.
“In season 3, episode 10 you see him from the back and there is a close up of his neck & you can tell it’s a wig. IMO.” (Sic)

And a fifth added to the debate: “It bothers me so much!!!!! I really hope that someone from the show creeps this page.”
Fans will have to wait until Jamie pops up again in season four to see if the Yellowstone stalwart will alter his look.
But with several of the Duttons’ lives hanging in the balance heading into the next series, the family will undoubtedly have bigger things to worry about.
Yellowstone season 4 premieres on Paramount Network in the USA in 2021.
