"This is such a unique property, you will not want to miss it. You feel secluded, yet you are close to all kinds of wonderful places to visit. If you don't feel like going out, there is plenty to keep you and your children occupied. My teenagers were in heaven with fishing, kayaking, Cornhole, and the pool table. We enjoyed walking around the property, taking pictures of the amazing animals. The hosts are fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed. They also made great recommendations of places to visit. This place is a gem.

"My husband, myself and our two girls had an amazing stay at Cypress Falls Retreat! The scenery was beautiful, steps from the water, and the Sunday House was so cute. We mostly relaxed and floated on the river. The hosts are wonderful and provide you with just about everything you need including floats, paddle boards, kayaks, etc. We can’t wait to go back and bring more family with us next time!

"Wow! This property is amazing. The Sunday House is a cute well maintained cabin overlooking the Guadalupe River. We had full access to the trails and river on their 70 acre farm. Innertubes were provided for floating on the river. They provide a gas grill for cooking. We are definitely going back next year!

"First off, you must see this place to appreciate it... pictures don’t do it justice. We stayed at the Sunday house for a weekend getaway and had a great time. Situated in Canyon Lake, on the river wth plenty of privacy as well as opportunity for hiking, swimming, chillin and or grillin. Hosts are fantastic! Accomodates 2 to 10. We’ll be back!

"Our stay was PERFECT! Meridith and Joe were wonderful hosts. The cabin was stocked with everything you could possibly want/need. Meridith even baked fresh banana bread when we arrived to make us feel at home. The views of the river are spectacular and the grounds with antelope and deer gave it a wonderful wilderness feel.

"My husband and I enjoyed our quiet stay at the Cypress Falls Sunday House very much. We left the stress, traffic and hustle and bustle of Houston behind us.
This authentic little cabin is on perfectly kept, gorgeous property with direct access to the Guadalupe River. You can swim or tube in the river, read, walk, nap in the hammock or play a game of pool. In the early evening enjoy a glass of wine in the chairs overlooking the river that is so clear you can see the fish swimming in it. Owls, birds and stars in the night sky, you can enjoy it all here. The cabin is absolutely charming, was perfectly clean, had very comfortable beds and a claw foot bathtub that just begs for a good long soak. (A note of caution here and a suggestion for the owners- the tub is very slippery and does not have any non slip aids.) There is not a shower but the we didn't miss one. There is a small fridge and I would recommend bringing some snacks so that a trip off the property isn't necessary for every meal-we found a great grocery store nearby and bought breakfast items, wine and cheeses so we didn't have to rush out to eat. Really can't tell you how beautiful this property is with deer, peaco*cks, exotics and gorgeous bronze statues. We cant wait to go back. Our Anniversary stay was just post hurricane Harvey so this little quiet escape overlooking the beautiful river and without a television could not have been a more perfect sanctuary. I was so grateful I had booked it a month before! I would highly recommend any of the homes on the property, they are all gorgeous and you will have an unforgettable stay. Truly unique, beautiful and peaceful place near all that the hill country, winery's and Canyon Lake state park has to offer.

"Such a wonderful stay in the Sunday House. This must of been one of the original houses in Texas. Very simply but lovely inside. You are going want to be outside as much as you can. We rented tubes and put in the river at one end of the property and floated till we reached the end of the property. Then we would walk back on a very clean path and do it again. Our sons fished early and later in the day, they even caught 2 fish. ( catch and release). During the heat of the day we would play dominos in the shade and listen to the river. There are hammocks to nap on or to watch the stars. You can walk around the property and see so many different types of wildlife. Just gorgeous is Cypress Falls Retreat. You can't go wrong by choosing to stay here. The only reason to leave is if you need to pick up a few things from the grocery store. We always asked our sons if they wanted to go out for dinner and they always said they wanted to stay on the property. We did leave on evening to see the sunset on Canyon Dam. The dam is only 5 minutes away and the view is amazing! Great photo op for family pictures. We can't wait to come back in the fall to make so-mores in the fire pits.
